剧情：
影片讲述了由一场百年不遇的特大洪水而引发的空前劫难，洪水过后历史上罕见的骨髓灰质炎症（小儿麻痹症）瘟疫般地在小城蔓延开来，范围波及小镇1000多个家庭。党员张保和在妻子的支持下开始帮助这些骨髓灰质炎患儿，身受病痛折磨的孩子们在无数次的艰难拼搏中夺取残奥桂冠，谱写了一首时代赞歌。电影以来自江苏省徐州市邳州的“梦之队”（2008年国际残奥会上，“梦之队”夺得了6金2银1铜）成长的环境、经历为蓝本，讲述发生在上世纪80年代的一个成长、励志、奉献、感人的真实故事。
