剧情：
徐天鹤夫妇结婚八年，恩爱如初，唯一遗憾的是没有孩子，看到邻居家女孩阿琳不被父亲何泽美先生和继母喜爱，经常独自一人在后门和小猫玩，经两家协商，徐家办理了领养手续，把阿琳领到家里来做了女儿。
这样的三口之家，原本也是美满的生活，不料阿琳的生母史小姐找来要领走阿琳。经过劝说，史小姐放弃意愿，但是她同意史小姐经常来探望阿琳。从此史小姐成了徐家的常客，并与徐天鹤妻子成为好朋友。
妻子把表弟应作图介绍给史小姐。史小姐遇车祸住院，阿琳去探望，徐天鹤妻子终于同意阿琳重回母亲怀抱。
